Hypnosis downloads internet comes to the rescue

Hypnotherapy now comes to you in the form of friendly, non-hassle hypnosis downloads! The Internet has become our savior in yet another aspect of life, and has superceded its role of being a communication channel, to become the most vital source of information for any subject under the sun. From cooking to embroidery patterns, everything is available is online, so why should downloads for hypnosis be left behind?

These hypnosis downloads are on the MP3 format, and are easily downloadable at various sites. Any individual can burn these MP3’s onto CD’s, MP3 players and even DVD’s. Now, you can listen to your personal self-hypnosis routine along in the privacy of your home. There are a host of websites which are catering to the needs of people who want to experience self-hypnosis and benefit from it. Some of these websites even offer free hypnosis scripts which you can use to create your very own hypnosis tapes. All you need to do is visit these particular sites and click on a particular hypnotic routine, for example, if you want to quit smoking you will have to download the MP3 related to hypnosis for smoking.

Any hypnotherapist would agree to it when I say that sound is one of most important components of a hypnotism session. You find yourself listening to a calm voice telling you to relax and soak in the experience. In self-hypnotism this sense of sound becomes doubly important because of the auto-suggestion mode that we need to practice. And to discover that these hypnosis downloads are just a click away is a great relief.

There are yet other sites which have visual hypnotic experiments listed on their websites. Visitors to these sites can most often take a product test before they shell out money to buy the product. Some of these downloads come with detailed descriptions of what results to expect from a hypnosis session using the download; this is a desirable quality in a self-hypnosis scenario, since the user needs to keep track of the progress which has been made in a particular problem area after using the downloads for hypnosis.

I would like to take this opportunity to say that most of these tapes and scripts are designed by professional hypnotism practitioners and therapists; so you need not worry about the authenticity of these hypnosis downloads. In fact, even I have a series of downloadable hypnosis routines which are available to my clients worldwide. It is needless to say that being present on the internet automatically makes sure that my hypnosis downloads are available to a greater number of people all around the world. These downloads have made millions world over realize the dream of bettering their lives, without having to fret too much.

From smoking to sexual problems, from will power to weight loss, all types of hypnosis downloads are available on the internet. All you need to do is download one on to your MP3 player, tune in, listen to the soothing female voice which guides you through the session and relax! Remember that these downloads are revolutionizing hypnosis the world over, and a record number of people have benefited from it. So go out and get your own download…don’t be left behind!

The challenges of being an expat spouse

……What Unique Opportunities Exist Here?

What are the challenges you are facing as an expat spouse?

Do you see yourself here by circumstance or has this move been your choice?

Is this a unique opportunity or something you are tolerating until your spouse’s contract is over and you can go home?

It is important to realize that the experience you have is your experience and that it may differ from your spouse’s. You may love the place; they may not. Or it may be the other way around. Many people manage the move and then, after the initial glow of living overseas has worn off, one partner becomes unhappy. Often it is the trailing spouse, the one who is following his/her partner to this new location…you!

Make this a unique opportunity.…To do something that you have always wanted to do, to stretch your creative muscles, to spend more time with your family, etc. If you have always dreamed of writing a novel, join a writers group and get involved with other writers. If you want to get fit, join a team sport to increase your fitness and your social network. Have you always thought about studying something that deeply interests you? This might just be the ideal time and opportunity to do that! Or have you just wanted to spend more time with your partner and family? How can you do that now?

Is your spouse busy and involved in his work?

Do you find yourself with more time on your hands than you know what to do with?

Do you feel lost in the shuffle?

You may have to adjust to doing more things on your own and managing more of the home/family duties than previously. There will often be times when you do things on your own, when it would be nice to be doing them together. Realize that most of your expat friends are in similar situations. Look for ways to empathize with and support each other.

Make this a unique opportunity…. to spend more one-on - one, quality time with your children, if you have children or to deepen and strengthen your friendships. Have you always wanted to do meaningful volunteer work? What opportunities are knocking here?

What will this move mean to your career?

Have you lost your sense of self?

Do you find yourself asking yourself…. What’s in this for me?

…. Where/How do I fit into this picture?

You may not be able to work or you may not want to. Either way, adjusting to being a non-income earner can undermine your self confidence. Have you thought about a stock answer that you can pull out when you meet someone who discounts you because you are not working? Do not apologize for your position. State it proudly. The decision you made to become an expat living in a foreign country demonstrates that you are adventurous and willing to experience new things. s"

Make this a unique opportunity…. To find as many ways as possible to enjoy the adventure of living in a foreign country. Have you always wanted to study that foreign language? Now just might be that time. Have you always wanted to take 6 months off and just spend it with your kids? Grab the opportunity and make the most of it. Who knows when it will present itself again?

Do you feel isolated and alone?

Is there anyone who truly understands what you are going through?

Are you missing your family & friends?

Make sure that you establish support networks. You can't rely on your partner to fulfill all of your needs - they simply can't do it and they probably didn't in your home country either. Join clubs, attend functions and make the effort to get out. People won't usually come knocking on your door asking to be your friend - you have to get out there and make it happen. Reach out to others in the same situation.

You will find that expatriate friends often play the role that family play back home. They are often the closest friends that you will ever make. Remember you are all in the same boat. Find opportunities to support each other.

Make this a unique opportunity….. To reach out and create an overseas family. Reach out to local families. Learn the local customs, ask a local to teach you how to cook the local cuisine. Be creative. Look for opportunities to connect with others. Bring others into your global family and enjoy this unique time in your life.

How are you handling the challenges of living in a different culture?

Do you find yourself unsure of how to deal with the simplest of things?

What are your needs and interests and how are they being met?

You will have the opportunity to do things that you have never done before. This is a great way to learn new skills that broaden and make you more self-sufficient. Things as varied as simply coping in a country where everyone speaks a different language and learning how to manage in an unfamiliar situation, teach you a degree of independence and autonomy that can be empowering.

Remember that other expats are in the same situation. You are not alone.

When you live in a place for all of your life you get complacent about what that country offers you. You don't take advantage of the opportunities it offers because you have all the time in the world; expats don't. You are in this country for a limited time period. Use it to your best advantage.

Make this a unique opportunity.... To see and do as much as you can while you are here. Be creative. Think outside the loop. It may provide the solution that you need. Take advantage of as many of the different opportunities that you can. Optimize every chance you get to explore and do different things.

ENJOY this UNIQUE OPPORTUNITY!

Be a proud owner of your own best ways of quitting smoking

How to quit smoking is not only a million dollar question, it is a question affecting millions and millions and their number is increasing day by day. The number of surveys conducted on smoking, small and big, by local bodies, governmental and non-governmental organizations are a legion! But are these well-intentioned efforts helping to curb the addiction of smoking? The answer, unfortunately, is in the negative and the tobacco lobby is busy with their expansion plans.

Is there a happy smoker? May be a rare one! More than 80 % of the smokers’ population, who formed part of the authentic survey, gave a straightforward answer that they wished to quit smoking. It is, therefore, appropriate to conclude that the majority of the remaining 20 % smokers, require some reasoning and pressure to bring them to the right track.

What it is that latent in the tobacco, which holds powerful sway over these unfortunate millions? It is an innocent looking eight letter word - nicotine. The more we try to understand it, the more it exhibits its enormous ferocity! It has such a telling effect on the physical and psychological areas of human beings, caught in its net, an individual finds it nearly impossible to free himself from its vice-grip. Nicotine is a drug naturally found in tobacco. It is highly addictive.

What happens when a smoker smokes? The smoke is inhaled and nicotine is transported deep into the lungs, where the bloodstream is waiting to receive and it is carried throughout the body without further loss of time. Evil is known for its lightening speed in doing its job and so does the nicotine!!

So, the nicotine is ‘the all-pervading reality’ within the blood-stream now, and it reaches wherever the blood reaches, that is to say the entire human system.

At this time, let us say an innate desire sprouts in the smoker to give up smoking. Some thing within him is trying to bring him to the right track! He starts discussing the issue with the fellow-sufferers and as his private research advances, he is startled to know what type of addictive nicotine is! It is not less powerful an addictive than heroin or cocaine!

Now is the right time to quote Mark Twain: “Quitting smoking is easy. I have done it a thousand times.” Got it? Because to cope up with the withdrawal symptoms is not easy. Nicotine has made your body and mind its permanent home. It can’t be evicted that easily. Try to dislodge it — come dizziness depression, irritability, anger, frustration, headache and restlessness.

But remember, all these negative tendencies have got to be resolute because by now you have decided to quit smoking and formulated your own best ways to do it.

Best of luck!

Build the confidence to approach other people through the power of compassion

Do you often feel uncomfortable in a social situation? Perhaps you’re overly shy? Or your stomach ties up in knots at the thought of approaching someone even just to say “Hi!”

Well the good news is that there are many techniques which you can use to help you overcome this problem of social shyness or anxiety. I’m going to share one of my favourites below. But first, three important points that need to be highlighted (so imagine them covered by ink from a bright yellow fluoro highlighter pen)

1. Don’t expect to get the confidence of Tony Robbins in one day. All changes happen in small steps. Make an effort to stretch yourself just a little bit further every day. And celebrate your victories, no matter how small they are. Those small victories will over time grow into a massive change in your confidence.

2. The best way to overcome a fear is to face it and succeed. What I’m presenting today is one way to build the courage to face your fear. What you need to do though is not only use it, but also search out a whole host of other techniques as well. And use them! Different techniques may be more appropriate for different situations. We’ll of course be talking about many of the other techniques in future articles.

3. As always, if your social shyness or anxiety is causing difficulties in your life, please consider talking to a doctor or a counsellor. They will be able to expand on this strategy, and provide you with many more. They really can help.

So, as promised, here’s one of my favourite techniques for helping you feel more confident as you approach other people in a social situation.

You will be tapping into one of the greatest powers you have within you. More powerful than all the fear you may currently feel.

That power is compassion.

In many of us though it lies asleep, a luxury we feel we can’t afford just yet. Maybe something we’ll get around to exploring when we get over our problems and start feeling happy about ourselves. After all, how can we be compassionate towards others when we don’t even feel good about ourselves?

Is that what you think?

Well, I think we’re better served by looking at things from a different perspective. One that sees compassion not only as a tool for helping others, but also for helping ourselves.

So, how do we use compassion in this situation?

SEE THE OTHER PEOPLE AS BEING JUST LIKE YOU!

They are human. Somewhere within them they have fears too. Their fears may not be visible to you on the surface, but they’re there. We are all human.

We all desire human contact!

We all desire friendship!

We all desire to be loved!

So before approaching someone, remind yourself that they too may have difficulties making the first move. They may be waiting for someone to talk to about their problems and their issues. They may be waiting for someone just like you, who can understand them and their own fears. Someone just like you, with a heart filled with compassion and love. And perhaps in time, if a friendship develops, you can help them with their own fears.

Why does this work? Simply because it takes the focus off you, and places it onto the other person. How can you help them? How can you be their friend in a time of need?

Of course, don’t approach them with these questions directly. It would not be appropriate in most social situations, especially if you don’t know the person yet. Just approach them with this understanding, that they’re just like you. They too are human. Make conversation. Talk about them, and their interests. Many times this may lead nowhere. Sometimes though, it could develop into one of the best friendships of your life.

They’re just like you. So there’s no need to be afraid. They also want someone to talk to. Help them!

You can let your shyness or anxiety be a source of fear within yourself, or you can let it build your compassion towards others who are also facing their own demons. Choose compassion! In return, you will also be helping yourself overcome your own fears, one conversation at a time.

Pruйbalo y veras!

Do you value yourself

We all live. We all work. We all wish to have a family, have children, retire peacefully and then pass away. Is that all in our life? What is the true value you put to your life? What are you? What do you want to achieve so that you make a difference in the world? What memories you want to leave? These are questions all of us must ask. Billions of people in the world lead a routine life and pass away. Is that enough/ Can we not do something better? How to make ourselves valuable?

We make ourselves by giving. When we make others happy, we become happy. When we do something unselfishly, we feel good. Most of the problems in our life arise because of absence of giving. Marriages are getting broken for small reasons, because neither the husband nor the wife wants to give in. Both have their demands that must be met, otherwise separation.

Every child wants admission in the best college. Every person wants the best job. Everybody wants the best comfort. All of us want. What about giving? Few of us do that and that is our problem for dissatisfaction in our own life. We are slowly losing our self-esteem because of our own behavior.

Once we begin giving, we will be rebuilding our esteem. Try to help those around you. Tolerate few nuisances. Forgive others for their faults. Don't hurt people with harsh words. Don't act in a manner that destroys a life. Contribute to the world so that the world remembers us for our goodness. All of us may not become saints, but we can surely follow in their footsteps.

Arguing

:
Arguing - what's it good for? Arguments are rarely "won." When you think you won an argument, what did you win? The "loser" at least learned something, right? But what did you get? Debating practice, ego satisfaction, and diminished brain power.

Arguing Diminishes Brain Power?

At times things need to be debated, but most of the time, it just isn't productive. You may want to argue the point, but what do you get from a useless debate, and more importantly, what do you lose? I say you lose effective brain power.

There is at least one thing we can probably agree on. That is that a person listening to arguments can learn something from both sides. Now what about the participants? When your opponent makes a really good point, do you say, "Hey, you're right!" and learn something, or do you more often just look for a better argument?

You see, arguing too much gets you in the habit of looking for arguments more than for truth. You get deeper into a rut the more you defend a position, because any hint of opposing evidence is pushed away as a threat to your "victory" or correctness. Ii being in a rut and ignoring the truth doesn't sound like it's good for brain power, it's because it isn't.

Brain Power From Listening

Say the moon is closer, and if I say the sun is, one of us has to be right. On the other hand, if you say nurture is more important, and I say nature is, we're both sort of right. That's because the first argument has clearly defined terms. This isn't common in most arguments (and what's the point of arguing with someone who thinks the sun is closer?).

The second argument has to do with values, experiences, and poorly defined terms. We've seen different things in life, and we could spend a lifetime arguing the definition of "important." Alternately, I could shut up and listen. In this case my mind becomes more powerful with the addition of your ideas and knowledge. Listening is the better way.

How do you break the habit of arguing? Start by purposely asking for people's opinions, and listen without saying anything. Ask them to clarify, but don't offer one contrary idea. If you do this enough, you'll be surprised at how much you learn. You may also be surprised by how difficult this simple technique can be, but it works. Tell me I'm wrong, and I may just listen to what you say without arguing.

Reasons to stay positive

You surely have heard about "positive thinking", but why bother? Is there any reason you should make the effort to retain only positive thoughts? This article shares some ideas why you may in fact want to make this effort.

Higher Productivity

Maintaining a positive attitude may lead to higher productivity, whether in your career or personal life. When you are negative, you tend to give up more easily, get frustrated, get easily distracted, and drag your feet. A simple thing such as how you think can make a world of difference. W. Clement Stone spoke of this when he said "There is little difference in people, but that little difference makes a big difference. The little difference is attitude. The big difference is whether it is positive or negative.". Whether you want higher productivity is up to you, however consider the cause and effect of your attitude. Zig Ziglar also spoke of this when he said "Positive thinking will let you do everything better than negative thinking will.".

Better Relationships

Who wants to be around a negative person? Do you? When you are negative, you are sending out signals to others to stay away from you, unless perhaps they are also negative and seek a similar mindset. Do you want to attract negative people, or positive people? Ken Keyes Jr. touched on the reality of this when he said "A loving person lives in a loving world. A hostile person lives in a hostile world; everyone you meet is your mirror." Your attitude affects both personal relationships, and career relationships. While the impact of your attitude in a personal relationship is perhaps more obvious, in the workplace it's often less obvious. It's the relationships, trust, and rapport you build with others which contribute greatly to advancement opportunities, and should not be overlooked.

Better Health

Both modern medical providers and ancient practitioners have said that your attitude can affect your health. Your body takes queues from your mind, and negative thoughts can be disruptive to your internal body processes. Handling stress is a key challenge for us, to avoid stress-induced illnesses. The reverse is also true that having good health will contribute towards a positive attitude, so take care of your body! A holistic approach is to focus on your mind and body together, ensuring you are eating well and getting exercise.

Happiness

Happiness is perhaps one of the most important things of all, what good are the other things above if you aren't happy? Financial success doesn't necessarily equate to happiness, many wealthy people are quite unhappy. Happiness is really a state of mind, and we have complete control of our own minds. Unfortunately, many leave their thoughts and emotions on "autopilot", never deciding for themselves how they want to think. Maintaining a positive attitude equates to a decision to be happy, it's your choice! Buddha summarized how to remain happy no matter how bad things may seem when he said "Let us rise up and be thankful, for if we didn't learn a lot today, at least we learned a little, and if we didn't learn a little, at least we didn't get sick, and if we got sick, at least we didn't die; so, let us all be thankful.". It's also important to not miss the things that truly make us happy, which is not typically money, but often little things we take for granted. As Robert Brault said, "Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.".

Spiritual Growth

If you believe in a creator, or practice a religious belief, then you may also believe that remaining positive is part of a spiritual growth path. Many religions teach this basic premise, that we should remain positive and trust in our creator no matter how bad things may seem. Even if you don't have spiritual beliefs, perhaps you feel something within your conscience that urges you to be positive, and thus have a positive impact on others in your life. Being positive makes others feel good, which is rewarding in itself.

You Are Your Thoughts

What are you but your thoughts? Mahatma Gandhi said "A man is but the product of his thoughts what he thinks, he becomes." What do you want to be? Your thoughts have more impact than you realize, and define who you are, how others react to you, what comes into your life, and how you will be remembered when you are no longer here. What type of person do you want to be? Make sure your thoughts and attitudes support your definition of yourself!

How to Do It

How to maintain a positive attitude is a subject for a different article as there are many methods to achieve it. However, deciding you WANT to do this is a key first step, and can lead you towards pursuing methods which work for you. A good second step is to begin to simply recognize when you are not feeling positive, and pause to reflect on whether you want to CHOOSE to feel that way or not. Getting your mind out of autopilot puts you back into control, which is fundamental to changing your attitude.

Severe stutter

Stutter or stuttering can have a dramatic effect on somebodys confidence.

Fluent people really can not comprehend how hard it is to live your life with a speech impediment or stutter.

I run one to one speech courses in Birmingham and one of my clients once told me about a situation he was involved in. He and his friends went to a bar one Saturday afternoon to have a few drinks. After a couple of pints he went up to the bar to order himself a drink. Unfortunately he could not speak all of the words fluently and the bar man accused him of being drunk and refused to serve him. He tried to explain that he was not drunk but had a stutter but the bar man said "That's what they all say"

He returned to his friends who asked him where his drink was. He told them what had happened, this itself was very embarressing.

This is a typical situation people who have a stutter find themselves in.

Stuttering can affect many aspects of a persons life including:

confidence

friendships

careers

relationships

school

Now that I have overcome a stutter it is like a weight has been lifted from my shoulders and life is so much easier.
